As you know, in logistics, every success is the result of good planning. In this article, I want to evaluate how much of my 2025 goals I have achieved and share my 2026 plans with you. My main purpose is to keep my motivation alive by documenting this process and to exchange ideas. At the end of 2026, I aim to conduct a new situation assessment based on this article and make this concept a 'year-end tradition' on my website.
My Goals for 2025
Let's briefly review some of my goals for 2025 and do a general assessment.
My Biggest Goal: Logistics for Everyone
My biggest goal for 2025 was to make the logistics sector accessible to everyone. The main reason for setting this goal is that, although a very large part of daily life operates according to logistics or its related sub-dynamics, society still views this sector only as 'trucking'. Actually, we can't blame people for this;because there are very few resources that explain complex processes in a language they can understand.Existing content generally doesn't adequately address the supply chain processes and cause-and-effect relationships that we could call the 'behind-the-scenes' aspects of the business.
aim in creating this website was precisely this: to explain logistics processes in a transparent and understandable way. Even though I've only published one sectoral analysis (RAM Crisis) so far, I can confidently say that the article has received far more attention than I expected. This interest proves the lack of quality Turkish content in the field and people's demand for accurate information.
I am very happy to have taken another step closer to my goal of conveying logistics processes and the dynamics behind them to people by bringing this website to life.
Books I Read in 2025
I had set myself a goal to read at least one page of a book every day by 2025. I'm so happy I was able to achieve this goal. Here is the complete list of books I read throughout the year:
My Goals for 2026
On this day as we enter the new year, I've made sure to be as 'realistic and measurable' as possible, rather than being a dreamer, when setting my 2026 goals. Here's my roadmap for the coming year:
My Academic and Career Goals
My primary goal is to graduate from the Logistics Management department at Turkish Aeronautical Association University with a GPA of 3.15 or higher. I plan to improve my current GPA of 2.75 to around 2.90 by the end of this semester, bringing me one step closer to this goal.
Immediately after graduation, I aim to begin my academic career journey by pursuing a master's degree in my field. However, I know that logistics is too dynamic a field to be learned solely from books. While I aspire to become an academic in the long term, I am aware that theoretical knowledge alone will not suffice.
Therefore, my vision is to pursue a two-way and multifaceted development by gaining theoretical depth through academic studies while blending practical competence with field experience.
My Content Production Goals
I previously stated that one of my goals for 2025 is "logistics for everyone". To achieve this goal, I want to continue working tirelessly in 2026.
To this end, I've set a clear content schedule: I will publish in-depth industry analyses or technical articles explaining the fundamental working principles of logistics every two weeks on my website. By maintaining this consistency, I aim to create a comprehensive digital archive containing at least 26 high-quality analyses and industry information by the end of the year.
As a natural consequence of this content consistency, I aim to increase the traffic to my website, which is currently in its infancy, to 300+ organic visitors per month by the end of the year and to build a solidified, loyal readership.
Language Development
Logistics is a universal profession, and the common language of this sector is English. One of the main reasons I publish my content in English on this site is to actively improve my professional English skills.
I am following a personalized 3-day development routine (Speaking - Writing - Reading) to take my English proficiency from academic level to advanced professional fluency by 2026. My goal is to achieve full language proficiency that will allow me to manage global supply chain operations upon graduation.
Closing and Wishes
Thank you for reading my long journey plan. As we say in logistics, the best plan is the one you revise after you've set off. Wishing you all a 2026 filled with even more productive successes than we planned. Happy New Year!
